Santo Spirito, Artisans & The “Oltrarno”

Santo Spirito, Artisans & The “Oltrarno”

This area deserves a visit on its own. Often left to the end of a stay, the ‘rive gauche’ of Florence is full of surprises and hidden places which can fill every art lover’s heart with joy. The Brancacci Chapel, the Augustinian church of Santo Spirito (holding another surprise left by Michelangelo), the Pitti Palace and the magnificent Renaissance garden Boboli behind it will refund you of any single moment you’ll spend over there. However, it’s the authentic life, full of tiny boutiques, artisans and bars, that will make your day. Personally, I really love the untouched “dolce vita” aura, which is still deeply anchored in Italy and its citizens. An interesting addition to this tour may be a stop at some of the local artisans.

Duration: minimum 3 hours.
