Galleria degli Uffizi
Usually simply called ‘the Uffizi’, this is, with no doubt, one of the most important museums in the world, giving home to some of the most renowned masterpieces in Art History.
Entering this museum, you will immediately be mesmerized by the beauty of Botticelli’s Venere or overwhelmed by the strength of Michelangelo’s Tondo Doni or maybe you’ll be intrigued by Leonardo’s Adorazione dei Magi. And if you make it to the very end of the gallery without being caught by the Stendhal Syndrome, you may even stop in front of Caravaggio’s Medusa…but not without passing by Giotto, Masaccio, Beato Angelico, Filippo Lippi, Antonello da Messina, Mantegna, Tiziano, Veronese, Rubens, Rembrandt… I could go on for hours!!
A reasonable visit of this museum will take not less than an hour and a half. This amount of time will give us the chance to see only the most remarkable masterpieces of the Renaissance.
It is possible to visit the Galleria dell’Accademia and the Galleria degli Uffizi together on a 4-hour tour with an introduction to Florentine history by passing the Duomo, the medieval centre and Piazza Signoria on our way from one museum to the other.
